At the recent ACWA Power event, Wenxian and Jooyoung presented an innovative project titled “Isothermal Underwater Compressed Air Energy Storage: Harnessing Red Sea Latent Energy for High Efficiency.” This project proposes an efficient and sustainable energy storage solution by leveraging the unique environment of the Red Sea.

During the event, our team highlighted the successful completion of the world’s first UWCAES pilot test, conducted at a depth of 150 meters in the Red Sea. This achievement represents a significant milestone in renewable energy storage technology and demonstrates the feasibility of underwater energy storage systems for large-scale applications.
