Last week a team of researchers (Ahmed Hafez, Carlos Rodriguez, Chima Justin Ezekiel, Musa Aliyu and Soukat Kumar Das) led by Research Prof. Thomas Finkbeiner visited Saudi Aramco's EXPEC ARC HQ in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

The objective of this short 2 days trip was to discuss the prospects of ongoing and potential future projects with Saudi Aramco’s various research teams; these include the areas of drilling and wellbore stability, advanced and smart solutions for lost circulation into large aperture fractures, carbon storage and usage as well as geothermal energy. It was a successful trip as well as a fruitful learning experience for the entire team.
